Overview

I partnered with the Student Communications team to design a new landing page for current students. Many students were unsure where to find key tools and support services, so the goal was to create a clear, user-friendly Student Hub, a central space for everything they need throughout their studies.

With no scope for user interviews, I took a data-led approach, using heatmaps, site analytics, and competitor research to understand user behaviour and identify pain points. This allowed me to remove low-value content, simplify the layout, and surface high-priority information.

I created user journey maps to better understand how students interact with the site and ensure the content flow aligned with their needs. The design was developed using a mobile-first approach, optimising the experience for the devices students use most.
